2017 LFC NSW AGM & Committee Nominations

The Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club of NSW is pleased to announce that our 2017 Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday 15th July, 2017 at Club 80 Proof (Cheers basement bar). Please arrive from 3:30pm for a 4pm start.

All supporters are welcome to attend regardless of age or membership status. Only current paid LFC NSW Members will be able to vote in the committee elections.

The AGM will run until approx 5:30pm, after which will be a trivia quiz with a couple of special prizes to giveaway. Once the quiz has completed, all attendees are welcome to remain in 80 Proof to eat some dinner and socialise.

We are also pleased to announce nominations are now open for LFC NSW Committee Positions for the 2017/18 season.
All positions on the LFC NSW Committee are open to paid 2016/17 LFC NSW Members ONLY to nominate themselves or be nominated.
All nominations for committee positions must be received via email with subject line “2017 LFC NSW Committee Nomination” to club@lfcnsw.com by 6pm Friday 7th July 2017.
Only nominated candidates may be voted for during the elections held during the AGM.
Only paid 2016/17 LFC NSW members can vote in the elections.
If no nominations for a particular position are received, a vote to reappoint the current office bearer will be held.

The Committee positions open for nomination are:

  • Chair (Amanda-Joy Ellem – current)
    Chair all club meetings, act as Public Officer after Incorporation, club figurehead, support other committee members in executing duties
  • Vice-Chair & Events Manager (Matthew Camp – outgoing)
    Duplicate Chairman role, support other committee members in executing duties, co-ordinate, plan, execute and promote events to drive membership numbers and service current membership base
  • Secretary (Grant Furner – current)
    Control of membership database & program (benefits and inclusions), co-ordinate & minute all club meetings, point of contact for all external contact to club, maintain email lists, social media accounts, co-ordinate with LFC Branch Rep, assist with website maintenance
  • Treasurer (Addison Grundy – outgoing)
    Co-ordinate & control of all accounts and transactions, balancing club accounts, payments to creditors & debtors, etc
  • Membership Officer (Christopher Hay – current)
    Assists Secretary with promoting and increasing club memberships and program inclusions; create, ensure prompt delivery of membership inclusions and maintain sufficient stock levels
  • Creative & Digital Officer (Andrew Howard – outgoing)
    Take the lead on logos & visual designs; create and maintain videos & photos database; website function/design/maintenance; liaise with webmaster; ensure sufficient and regular content in order to drive website traffic; ensure supply of POS and physical PR material
  • Merchandise Officer (Chris Cameron – current)
    Co-ordinate all aspects of merchandise; liaise with suppliers to ensure sufficient stock levels; ensure prompt delivery of merchandise to customers; assist with Creative on merch (design etc); assist with website maintenance
  • General Committee Positions (John Mellors, Kerry Sebio, Christopher Kahawati, Joseph Kahawati – current)
    Provide support whenever wherever needed to current committee members
  • Sub Branch Reps
    Newcastle – Paul Dunsford (current)
    Canberra – currently vacant
    Wollongong – Nik Uzunovski (current)

People in sub-branch areas are most welcome to attend the AGM and put their hand up to act as liaison for these locations, current reps can also stand for re-appointment. These will be “ad-hoc” elections as the sub-branch reps aren’t committee positions.

LFC NSW exists to service all LFC supporters in NSW, and the supporters club needs volunteers who want to help and be involved to ensure this continues and grows into the future. Even if you don’t want to serve as a committee member, please come attend the AGM to ensure we receive as wide range of views and suggestions for the future direction of the supporters club.
